Welcome to Calvary Red Rock’s Children’s Ministry!

Our main desire is to help this next generation have a better understanding of Elohim; God Creator mighty and strong, so they can enter into a real relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The children of CRR are one of our most precious resources; they are the world of tomorrow.

Psalm 78 stresses the importance of passing our faith on to the children. What exactly are we to pass on to them? Two things. First, we must teach our children the works of God. Verse 4 says, “We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.” We need to share with the kids the wonderful things God has done; praiseworthy things, powerful things, things of wonder. Our children should be awestruck at God’s wonderful work.

Secondly, we need to share with them not only the works of God (what He has done), but also the Word of God (what God has said). Look at verse 5: “For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children”. Verse 6 continues, “That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children”.

To accomplish this we are committed to providing Jesus Christ’s example of love to the children we minister to. We are committed to Biblical teachings. Our desire is to equip them with a better understanding of their faith, that they may be able to give a reason for the hope that is in them (1 Peter 3:15). We want them to know they are created for a purpose (Jer. 29:11, Psalm 139:1-18).

When we partner with the family to provide proper spiritual nurturing, we see in verse 7: “That they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments”. This is our greatest hope for our children; that they will put their trust in God.

We look forward to seeing you and your family at Calvary Red Rock!
